…and I am a first grade teacher in Westfield, Indiana.  I have taught elementary students for over 25 years, all at one school.

My greatest love is being a dad to three wonderful kids (all grown up) and three smart and altogether wonderful granddaughters.

I began my writing journey solely for gift giving--I have written end of the year books for my students since 2001.  What initially began as Louis Sachar’s Wayside School rip-offs soon morphed into legitimate and unique stories in which every child in the room became a character.

Seven years ago I also began writing a tale of a young girl in search of her sister in a medieval-style world.  After countless revisions and rewrites, Arie and the Secrets of the Past is at a point where I am feeling proud of my effort.

When not teaching or writing, I enjoy running, drinking excessive amounts of coffee, and reading to my two cats, who seem disinterested in my work.  Thank you so much for taking time to check in on a hopeful first time author!
